Letter from City Councilor Ed Flynn to Office of Participatory Budgeting opposing voting by residents as young at 11.

Councilor Flynn has written the following letter to the Office of Participatory Budgeting opposing the voting process for project proposals to be open to residents as young as 11 years old.  Here are more details on OPB’s process.  Pages of note re: voting age are 3 and 4 for the summary of the process, and on Page 19 – titled “Vote,”OPB notes that residents as young as 11 years old can vote on the proposals)

    Now the City is completely in sane even thinking of something like an 11 year old voting. What is wrong with these politicians? They DO NOT belong in office. Hopefully Ed Flynn can put a stop to this nonsense. If this nonsense keeps up, people may start thinking about not living in this crazy city.
