We have all heard the news that GE is moving to South Boston’s Fort Point neighborhood, right? Well, part of GE’s original plans was to tear down a century-old elevated walkway in Necco Court. When news travelled in Fort Point, some neighbors were not happy about it. According to the Boston Globe, the neighborhood activist, with help from Mayor Marty Walsh, urged GE to keep the structure. And guess what? They listened!
GE had a change of heart and will not tear it down. Now that’s what we call being a good neighbor!
