See press release below re: construction safety
BOSTON –Following the crane collapse in Seattle that tragically took the life of two ironworkers and two motorists, Boston City Councilor Ed Flynn called for a hearing regarding the safety of construction sites in the City of Boston. Flynn called attention to several fires and injuries at job sites in recent years.
“With the recent tragic events in Seattle and an unprecedented building boom in our city, we need to ensure that our construction workers are as safe as possible,” said Flynn. “Given the densely populated neighborhoods of Boston and the close proximity of heavy machinery and tall cranes, we also need to make sure safety is the top priority for our residents and workforce.”
