Anyone that is voting today, is a die-hard voter.  It’s a special election and basically Nick Collins is a shoe-in.  Anyone, that votes first thing in the morning on such an election day, deserves a medal or a sash that reads “Best Voter in Southie.”  Needless to say, if you’re one of these voters, when you showed up that poll and found out the voting machines where not working, you’d be disappointed.  Well, that’s exactly what happened today at the Gavin School or L Street Bathhouse.

Those voters were less than pleased to say the least.  But we heard that City Councilor Ed Flynn and City Council at-Large Michael Flaherty were on the phone with the City of Boston Election Department and straightened things out.  The “memory cards” were not working. (Technology, am I right?) The issue was resolved and no one was turned away.  Phew, crisis averted!

Just a reminder, VOTE!  It’s an election day.
