At about 7:25 PM, on Monday, June 27, 2022, officers assigned to District C-6 (South Boston), made an onsite drug arrest of Joshua Erlandson, 33, of Plymouth, while in the area of 566 Dorchester Avenue.

After receiving complaints from the community about drug distribution in the area, officers set up surveillance and observed the suspect, later identified as, Joshua Erlandson, walk out of a local convenience store. Officers approached Erlandson and after further investigation recovered seven plastic baggies of Fentanyl, one plastic baggie believed to be Methamphetamine, twenty-six Suboxene Strips, a digital scale and $340.00 USC.

Joshua Erlandson was arrested and charged with; Trafficking; Class A, Drugs 14-27 grams and Possession with Intent to Distribute Class B, Drugs. He is expected to be arraigned in South Boston District Court. Erlandson also had outstanding warrants out of Stoughton District Court for Drug Distribution and Norfolk Superior Court for Larceny and Intimidation of a Witness.

    That’s why I back the blue and red to keep what’s left of our community safe . Outstanding work by BPD keep up the good work !!! A few beat cops in the area would deter these maggots !!!
