BFD responded to a call for a fire around midnight on Friday in the Seaport District to the dock at 200 Seaport Blvd. at the Spirit of Boston. A second alarm was ordered. Heavy black smoke was filling the ship’s lower level. Companies worked from the dock and the water to knock down the fire.
Luckily the ship was docked for the night and unoccupied.
BFD is investigating how the fire started.
