In a blink of an eye, this neighborhood is changing at a rapid pace!  Looks like a developer will be buying the land at the corner of Old Colony Ave and Dorchester Street to build a 64-unit residential building. You know the little strip mall area where D’angelo’s and Blockbuster Video once stood! (Are we dating ourselves? )

According to Boston Business Journal, a letter of intent was filed with the City of Boston by a developer named 267 Old Colony LLC.

Also, right down the street, Dot developer Douglas George is proposing 120 housing units and 5,000 square feet of commercial space at 10 Damrell St.

These two developments are just a stones throw away from the mammoth five-acre Washington Village made up of 656 housing units and 100,000 square feet of retail.
