Jig or a reel? MJ O’Connor’s on the Waterfront (425 Summer Street) is wishing you a Happy St. Patrick’s Day with Irish steppers in the house Thursday, March 17th at 6pm. There will also be serving up some traditional St. Patrick’s Day specials too all weekend long!
Cheer:
Parade Day kicks off with the annual running of the SB Boys and Girls Club Road Race. Show runners and walkers your Southie spirit by getting out there and rooting for them. Be aware that there will be traffic delays and street closings to accommodate the race from 11am-12pm on East and West Broadway. The race begins at the Boys and Girls Club on West Sixth Street – expect traffic and large crowds in that area from 9am-12pm. Want to register to run? Visit here!
Watch:
Start off parade day with the traditional St. Patrick’s Day Breakfast. Senator Linda Dorcena Forry will be your host and it will be filled with lots of jokes, singing, and some good old fashioned roasting. The Breakfast will be broadcasted live on New England Cable News (NECN) starting at 10am on Sunday March 20th.

’Tis the season to celebrate with friends and family and Joyce Lebedew of Joyce Lebedew Real Estate is opening her offices to the military and their family at her annual St. Patrick’s Day open house! With a prime viewing spot at the corner of G and East Broadway, JLRE will be serving up some delicious food catered by a Southie fave – Mirisola’s! This will be a family friendly zone with special VIP seating for any military members and their families and Gold Star families too. All are welcome! The fun kicks off at 1pm on Sunday, March 20th – parade day!
