Eat:
There’s another choice for brunch in Southie!  The Junction – 110 Dorchester Street –  now proudly serves brunch featuring such delicious items as tips & eggs, the breakfast burrito and more all served with a choice of Irish baked beans or traditional baked beans and are just $8!  Don’t forget to order a delicious Bloody Mary or a bucket of bubbles served with orange, pineapple and grapefruit juice!  Brunch is served Saturday and Sunday from 10-2.  http://www.thejunctionbar.com

Drink:
Raise your glass to the Ellie Fund at Lincoln Tavern.  For the entire month of October, be on the lookout for specialty pink cocktails and order one (or two) up!  $2 from each one sold will go directly to the Ellie Fund – a local non-profit dedicated to providing critical services including childcare, grocery shopping and meal deliveries to patients with breast cancer and their families. This week’s cocktail is the Pink Sailor made with spiced rum, apple, pomegranate, lime and ginger beer. Ahoy there –  $10!  We’ll drink to that!   

Watch:

Play:
Its’ the 2nd Annual Punkin’ Fest at the Lawn on D!  This fun-filled day will feature create your own jack-o-lanterns to add to the illuminated Punkin’Manor which will come to life after dark complete with spooky music and scary lights.  There will be pumpkins for little ones to paint and decorate as well as face painting, pumpkin bowling, and more!  Food Trucks: M&M Ribs, Moyzilla, Cupcake City, Scoopsies Ice Cream, GrilleD: 12:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. and Pumpkin Carving: 12:00 p.m.- 6:00 p.m.

Protect:
Learn how to protect yourself with three free Saturday classes from The Club by George Foreman III.  As part of Foreman’s EverybodyFights’ #FightitForward campaign, the Club is hosting Krav Maga Black Belt, Gershon Ben to teach 90 minute self defense classes.   From muggings to street fights, this self defense guru will teach you how to protect yourself.  Classes are October 17th, 24th and 31st. Family Pick:
Make a plan for some good old fashioned fun with the family!  The South Boston Public Library – 646 East Broadway is hosting a fall fair featuring pumpkin decorating, storytelling with Big Joe, and face painting by Colores Kids!  The fun happens on Saturday, October 10th from noon to 3pm.
