Drink:
Kick it old school and drink a martini at Lucky’s Lounge (355 Congress Street)- Southie’s original “den of cool.” Sip on a seasonal Pear of Dice with pear puree, fine and fall spice infused simple syrup or The Big Dirty Blue with house made jumbo blue cheese stuffed olives and kettle one vodka.  On Saturdays from 7pm-10pm enjoy live Sinatra cover music!

Shop:
Shop local!  Get out there and shop! If you survive Black Friday and still have some shopping left in you, then head out to the streets of Southie on Saturday.   Saturday, November 29th is national “Small Business Saturday.” This campaign was designed by American Express to generate business to small independent merchants – and we know how important it is to shop locally! Spread the word too!  Encourage your friends and family to shop locally! Not only are you getting a jump on your Christmas shopping, you are helping our local economy!  Really, it’s a win/win situation.  To see which local businesses are offering special discounts visit: https://caughtinsouthie.com/shop/small-business-saturday

Mix and mingle and help support South Boston Youth Hockey.  South Boston Youth Hockey is celebrating the season with a special South Boston reunion and fundraiser on Saturday, November  29th at The Teacher’s Union Hall at 7pm.  There will be live music featuring Southie’s favorite band, Thomas Park, a tribute to Jack O’Brien raffles and a cash bar. O Christmas Tree! Now that Thanksgiving has come and gone, it’s time to deck the halls!

Lace up the skates and hit the ice.  The Murphy Rink is offering public skating through the winter.  If you don’ t have skates, don’t worry.  You can rent them from Teddy – he is the skate master (and local legend).  If your blades are dull, he’ll sharpen ’em up for you!
