Eat:
Indulge in a donut or two!  Friday is National Donut Day!  Blackbird Donuts – over the bridge in the South End is celebrating with with their best sellers and special treats for all those who visit!  Stop by!

Drink:
Whether you hit M Street Beach or Carson Beach, an iced cold beer or a frozen drink and some snacks will do the trick! Here are are some of our Southie summer hot spots for apres beach!

How about sipping on a mimosa or iced cold beer while you shop at the South End Open Market at Ink Block?  Sounds delightful to us!  Starting this weekend, the market will offer beer and wine within the market area. There will be beer, cider and hard seltzer from Sam Adams, plus wine, mimosas and prosecco from Wicked Wine.  The market is located at Ink Block, 375 Harris Ave. It runs 10 a.m. to 4 p.m every Sunday, and drinks are available starting at 11 a.m.

See:
History is alive in Southie! On Saturday June 4 from 11:00am to 12:00pm, to commemorate the 240th Anniversary of George Washington’s First Victory and the 100th Anniversary of the National Park Service, Boston National Historical Park will dedicate a mounted cannon on the Heights of Dorchester. From noon to 6:00 pm visitors can enjoy a community open house featuring a variety of family activities.

Play:
Enjoy food, art, live music, arts & crafts, beer and a cornhole competition at the Fort Point Festival.  The fun takes place on Sunday, June 5th from 12pm-4pm at 22 Thomson Place in Fort Point.  For a list of participants visit here!  Tickets are $25 and can be purchased here!

Celebrate your Irish heritage!  Get your Irish up at this fun-filled weekend of Irish arts and culture!  Enjoy live Irish music featuring the legendary Irish band The Wolfe Tones, World Renowned Irish Tenor John McDermott, plus Andy Cooney, The Cunningham Family, Bartley O’Donnell and Matthew O’Donnell and the Whistlin’ Donkeys! There will also be plenty of Irish Dance, Guinness, and Irish Wolfhounds! The Irish Cultural Centre of New England is sponsoring the festivities, which run from June 4 and 5, 2016. Calling all catholics! Moonshine 152 is going to the dogs this Saturday!  A special fundraising brunch and raffle party will be held from 11am-2pm for the Animal Rescue League of Boston!
Your brunch tickets includes a two course-brunch (four options per course), bottomless coffee/tea, one alcoholic beverage, one raffle ticket, and access to the raffle after party.
