Eat:
Get Fired Up for the 18th Annual Chef in Shorts! Boston’s most talented chefs will be firing up the grill at the annual Chefs in Shorts© event.  On Friday, June 19th, the Seaport Hotel will be the city’s hottest spot.  Local chefs will grill up their favorite dishes during this summer-in-the-city barbecue. Drink:
Take a field trip to Dorchester and visit the new distillery nestled in Port Norfolk.  Boston Harbor Distillery (12R Ericsson Street) is now opening and hosting tours seven days a week.  This pre-Civil War era historical building now houses Boston Harbor Distillery and has a tasting room, distilling facility, event space and hopes to offer specialty cocktail classes soon.  Founded by Rhonda Kallman – from Boston Beer Company – BHD has blended distilled creations named after historical area entrepreneurs like Putnam New England Whiskey, Seymour’s Coffee Liquor, and Lawley’s New England Spirit.  Tours are given Monday-Friday 4-8PM(Every Half Hour) or by appointment  Saturday 12-8PM(Every Half Hour) Sunday 12-5PM(Every Half Hour)

Dad:
Father’s Day is Sunday!  Local 149 – 149 P Street – is celebrating with a special Father’s Day Brunch with a summer inspired mixed grill and a Man-mosa!  

Roller Disco:
Back in the day, roller disco was a thing and the Queen of Disco was none other than Dorchester’s own Donna Summer.  To pay tribute to her, the City of Boston is honoring her with the second annual “A Celebration of Summer: The Donna Summer Memorial Roller Disco Party. ” This good time takes place on Friday, June 19th from 6pm-10pm at City Hall Plaza.  Kon and the Gang will be playing plenty of funk and disco hits to get you moving and there will be special appearances by Drag Diva Frieda Fries and Nicholle Pride.   You can dust off of your old roller skates or rent a pair on site.  If you have a tube top or a sweet satin jacket, wear it!  This event is family friendly! 

Dance:
Speaking of disco and Donna Summer…kick it old school Southie-style at Seapoint (367 East Eighth Street). Revisit the good old days and enjoy Southie DJ legend Dru Erico as he spins the tunes at Seapoint on Friday, June 19th beginning at 8pm.   Plan on dancing the night away to such local favorites like Happy Radio and Young Hearts Run Free.

Island Yoga:

Apres Beach:
After a day at the beach, the fun continues at Stephi’s in Southie – 130 Dorchester Ave! Apres Beach kicks off June 13th on Saturdays and Sundays from 5pm-8pm through August!  Enjoy half-priced bar menu apps featuring everything from wings to steak and cheese rolls, to pulled pork sliders to nachos!  Stephi’s will also be serving up tiki cocktails, beers by the bucket, and sangria and summer cocktail pitchers!  There will also be a DJ spinning you favorite summer tunes in addition to prizes and giveaways!  So really, how can you not go!  

Play Ball:

Family Pick:
Calling all families!  Mayor Marty Walsh announced that the M Street entrance of the L – aka Boston Centers for Youth and Families (BCYF) Curley Community Center will be a family friendly beach. Families will have access to restrooms, picnic tables with umbrellas, free wifi, beach games and more! The cost of a family membership for $5 for the year!  Can’t beat that!
