Eat:
Have you tried Publico for brunch yet?  Executive Chef Keenan Langlois’ brunch fare will be served up every Sunday from 11am – 2pm in the restaurant’s rustic, mid-century dining room as well as outside in the 2,000 sq ft open-air atrium, garden space. The menu features Bag of Beignets (cinnamon sugar, mescal sabayon, $7,) Mahi Tacos (fried mahi, avocado, picco de gallo, cilantro, $15,) and Chilaquiles (tortillas, grilled salsa, fried eggs, crème fraiche, cilantro, avocado, $13,) among other breakfast-centric selections.  The cocktail menu has been shaken up courtesy of co-owner and Beverage Director, Teodora Bakardzhieva, whose latest libations include; Bloody Russian Spy (vodka, house-made habanera bloody mix, $11,) Tiki Tiki Ta (Bumbu rum, coconut, crème de banana, falernum, grapefruit, $12) Girl From Ipanema (leblon cachaça, passion fruit, lime panela, $12,) and the crowd pleasing Frosé (sparking rosé, house-made strawberry syrup, lemon juice, splash of grenadine, $12) among other creative concoctions.  Reservations are highly recommended!  Check out our review here!

Speaking of frose!  Back by popular demand Coppersmith is serving up the frosty concoction of rose wine mixed with fresh berries and blended to perfection!  Make a plan to drink some on their roof deck!  It’s on our summer bucket list!

Look for Artists for Humanity at Faneuil Hall Marketplace!  Learn to take your Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook photography to the next level with a three lunchtime workshops (1pm-2pm) taught by staff from Artists for Humanity. Each workshop will combine fun and informal “class” time with guided photo walks. Sessions may focus on people, architecture, food, or other topics, depending on the interests of the group. Compete/Cheer:
On your mark, get set, go!  Compete in a triathlon right in your own back yard, Southie!On Sunday, July 31st at 8:15 a.m. hundreds of triathletes will take to Boston Harbor and William Day Boulevard to compete in The Boston Triathlon. The swim takes place at Carson Beach and the bike and run are up and down William Day Boulevard and the Sugar Bowl path and ends back at Mother’s Rest at Carson Beach.   It’s a 1/2 mile swim, 9 mile bike and a four mile run!  Piece of cake!  There’s also a post party that includes food, beer garden, games, vendors, music and more all on Carson Beach.  There is an Olympic Race course this year too!  For those course details you can visit their website!   Not competing?  Head out and cheer on the participants!  It helps!

Family Fun:
It’s Olliepalooza! This fun-filled community event is perfect for all ages and takes place on Thursday, July 27th from 3pm-7pm at Moakely Park! Featuring family/team games, story circles, face painting & crafts, food & refreshments, music dancing and more! We can’t wait!
