Weekend Picks – January 26th

Eat:
Colder weather makes us want to be cozy with someone and share some food!  The Maiden is the perfect spot for that.  Located in the old (non recognizable Triple O’s) this chic and cozy spot offers small plates perfect for sharing.  Feast on Parisian Gnocchi with Lobster, Gansett Steamed Mussels, Hush Puppies and one of the best burgers in town!  The Maiden also has an extensive list for meat and cheese boards!

Drink:
It’s getting hot in herre!  On January 26th from 6pm-11pm Grand Ten Distilling will celebrate the local legend of the Fire Puncher with an night of cocktails and fun! There will be a full list of of Fire Puncher Vodka cocktails, food, and fun!  Tickets are $21 and can be purchased through Eventbrite!Last minute tickets will also be available for purchase at the door for $25.

Shop:
Welcome to the neighborhood!  Luxe Leisure hosted a few pop-ups last year in Southie but now they’ll have a brick and mortar shop at 553 East Broadway (Old Closet Connection)!  Expect a curated a premium collection  contemporary fashion brands for woman!  Soft opening this weekend – Saturday and Sunday 11am-7pm – with a grand opening planned for February!  We can’t wait!

See:
Explore Boston Harbor!  The Friends of the Boston HarborWalk are delighted that Boston Harbor Cruises is sponsoring a two-hour Boston Harbor tour, narrated by local experts!  All are welcome, but tickets are $20 per person to support the work of the Friends and tip the crew!  It’s the Nearly Free Guided Tour of Boston Harbor!  You can purchase tickets here!  

Do:
It’s Parents Night Out at Rock Spot Climbing!  On Friday, January 26th drop your kids off for a night of climbing fun, and head out for a romantic dinner, run some errands or sit in silence!  Kids must be 8+.  Kids will climb, swing, craft, make new friends, and have a ton of fun! Celebrate:
Countdown to the St. Patrick’s Day Parade Party will take place on Thursday, January 25th at 6pm-9pm at L Street Tavern.  Come on by and help support the Allied War Veterans and their efforts to raise funds for the parade!

Support:
It’s the 8th Annual Winter Benefit hosted by the South Boston Boys and Girls Club Alumni Council!  This   special fundraiser will take place on Saturday, January 27th from 7pm-midnight at the Seapoint.  There will be dancing, cash bar, raffles, prizes, 50/50 and more!  Tickets are $20 – visit here to purchase! 

Watch:
No football this weekend but we still have the Bruins and the Celtics!  The Bruins face the Senators on Thursday night at at 7:30pm!  The Celtics take on the Warrior on Saturday at 8:30pm.  Here are our Picks of Where to Watch a Game in Southie!
