Eat:
A festival of food sounds right up our alley!  America’s Test Kitchen, has moved to the neighborhood to a giant space Dry Dock Ave. To test out their new kitchen (I mean that’s what they do) they’re hosting a special two day food festival!  And not just any festival of food, but a festival that features local celebrity chefs and over 40 restaurants serving up dishes paired with wine and cocktails!   There will also be cooking demos and book signings. The food and fun happens on Friday, October 27th at 7:30 and Saturday, October 28th beginning at 12pm.  For more information about programming and to purchase tickets, visit here!   

Drink:
Order up a round of Woo Woo shots!  The ‘90s are back at CapoIf neon, scrunchies, and the Spice Girls are your thing, head downstairs to the Supper Club at Capo on Saturday October 28th for a ‘90s Pop Icon Halloween Bash! Celebrate:
This Saturday the 28th, bring the family to the Lawn on D. Bring the kids to carve pumpkins, learn circus tricks, and join in on the costume contest. At night, check out the LED dancers, live music, and fire dancers at the last special event of the season.

Head to Southie Haunts – a real live Haunted House will transform the residence at 192 Gold Street on Saturday, October 28th and Tuesday, October 31st at 5pm both nights!  Stop by if you dare!

Do:
Are you brave enough? Everyone knows October is the scariest month of all.  The number 13 is unlucky and Salem is the spookiest town in New England.  Well, Aloft Hotel is testing your scare factor with a one-of-a-kind Halloween experience!From Oct. 26-31, the hotel is offering a one-of-a-kind Halloween experience that that includes an overnight stay in Room 1313, plus private transportation to and from Salem! Dance:
Loco has gone to the the Zoo! Bring out your inner animal at Loco’s Halloween Party!  On Saturday, October 28th beginning at 10pm it’s the Southie Zoo Halloween Party.  Come dressed as the animal of your choice (we say the Southie Turkey), sip on margaritas and dance to DJ Ryan Brown.

Participate:
Shhhh!  It’s The Punk & Poet’s Haunted Library Party! There’s nothing spookier than a haunted library.  On Saturday, October 28th at 10pm, head to The Punk & Poet for a night of Halloween fun with DJ Mike Bowes!  There will also be a $300 cash prize contest for the Sexiest Librarian!  2nd place gets $100 gift card and 3rd prize gets $50.

Watch:
Lots of sports this weekend!  We have the World Series on Friday at 8pm.  The Patriots face the Chargers on Sunday at 1pm.  On Thursday the Bruins face off against the Sharks at 7pm and then Saturday vs. the Kings at 7pm.  The Celtics play the Bucks on Thursday at 8pm and the Heat on Saturday at 8pm.  Wondering where to watch, here are some suggestions! 

Tradition:
Our own Fort Independence at Castle Island will transform into a spooky, but kid-friendly, haunted castle. Stop by on Saturday and Sunday for drinks, snacks, story tellers, and tour the magic castle in your best costume.  This event is free and open to the public!  Stop by Sully’s for a hot dog before or after!

Brunch:
Nurse your post-Halloween hangover with brunch at Local 149 on Sunday! If drink specials, good food and prizes can’t cure your actual “scaries” then we’re not sure what will. A $50 gift card goes to the best girl and guy with hangover hair! The fun starts at 10am.

Trick or Tree:
Radiant Yoga is hosting a Halloween Family Yoga Class. Join Christyn for this MAGICAL Family Yoga class. Using music, storytelling, and more, we will explore traditional yoga asana (poses), breath work, and relaxation all inspired by the Halloween Spirit. No experience necessary, and all family members are welcome!! Sunday – October 29th 3:30pm to 4:15pm. You can sign up here! 

Family Fun:
Family fun at the St. Peter Academy Spooktacular Halloween Event! Bring the kids to this fun-filled event with food, crafts, contests, dancing and more at the Lithuanian Club – 368 West Broadway!    $25 per family for admission and a chance to win a Chromebook. $5 per person.  $20 for additional tickets to win Chrome book.  Fun begins at 6pm.

Open House:
Check out 14 WEST on Sunday!  Get a peak at the property on Sunday, October 1st at 11am-1pm. Thursday, October 26th 3pm-6pm – Jay Rooney from Jack Conway is hosting an open house at the Austin with all the bells and whistles on Thursday from 3pm-6pm! Live music, complimentary head shots, food and potentially a weekend stay and spa package at the Chatham’s Bar Inn! Sweet! The Austin is located at 205 E Street.
