Finally! After being down for the count after a frozen pipe leak, Local 149 – 149 P Street – is now open for business! With a fresh, new makeover, including giant colorful mural and an amped up menu, make sure to stop by this weekend for dinner or brunch! Don’t worry – Mac ’n Cheese Fritters are still on the menu! Phew!

April 7th is National Beer Day! We say celebrated all weekend long! Social Wines – 52 West Broadway – will be hosting a Mad Martha beer from Martha’s Vineyard tasting on Thursday, April 7th from 5:30pm-8pm. Social Wines also carries Castle Island Brewing beer too – if you haven’t given it a try yet, now’s the perfect excuse! It’s National Beer Day – why not?

The House is Where the Heart is – a fundraiser for the South Boston Neighborhood House – Benefit and Auction takes place Friday, April 8th – 6pm-10pm at the Seaport World Trade Center. This ain’t your Nana’s Bingo! Gather up the girls, slips on your high heels and go play some Bingo! Funds raised will go to activities, art supplies, field trips and more! Tickets are $20
