Eat:  
Whether you’re running the Marathon or just cheering for someone running it, you can carbo-load at Pastoral – 345 Congress Street.  On Sunday, April 19th from 4:30pm to 9:00pm enjoy an endless pasta bowl featuring Pastoral’s homemade pasta for $24 and an all-you-can-eat pizza option for $23.  Carbo-Loading Special Pastas are house-made rigatoni, chicken and broccoli rabe and homemade chitarra pasta with spring vegetables.  All-you-can-eat pizza options are the Neapolitan Margarita Pizza or the Pizza Bianco with Spinach and Sausage.

Raise your glass and say good-bye to the Cornerstone Pub (16 West Broadway)!  The legendary bar will celebrate its last night in business on Saturday, April 18th at 7pm with a blowout bash with a DJ, dancing and performer Al Crest will be singing some tunes too.   We also hear a rumor that Elvis will be making an appearance!

Shop til you drop!  The South Boston Neighborhood Development Corporation (South Boston NDC) and members of the South Boston Chamber of Commerce have organized the first ever Spring Stroll on Thursday, April 16, 2015, from 5 – 9 pm. Come on out and stroll through the neighborhood to enjoy all the fabulous boutiques, restaurants, and local art that Southie has to offer. This event is intended to help businesses in the neighborhood rebound after a brutal winter. Many businesses in South Boston are participating by offering a one-night-only discount or special offering to shoppers strolling into their shop. The firefighters at Engine 2/Ladder 19 – K Street firehouse will be selling pink t-shirts to raise money for The Avon Walk for Breast Cancer.  Stop by on Saturday and Sunday and show your support by picking up a few!  

Ride:
Whether you’re a hardcore bike rider or just a casual cruiser, Southie Cycles – a new riding club –  might just be for you!   Started by Southie residents and bike enthusiasts Steve and Laura Bowden,  Southie Cycles is a free riding club for bicycle riders of all levels.  The idea is to ride with the group or lead a ride yourself.  All rides originate at MyBike at 391 W.
