Eat:
Pack a picnic and head to the Harbor Walk on Sunday, June 9th.  The Fort Point Neighborhood is planning an old fashion picnic and everyone is invited.  Bring a blanket and some food and relax with your friends and neighbors.   The fun begins at 4pm at the Harborwalk at Fort Point Pier (fortpointpier.com ).  Bee’s Knees, located in Fort Point on Farnsworth Street, has fresh made sandwiches and snacks perfect for picnicking!

Drink:

Shop:
One stop/Two Shops! The Closet Connection (553 East Broadway), South Boston’s favorite consignment shop, is playing host to The Fashion Truck on Thursday, June 6th from 6pm-8pm.  Plan a girls night out and do a little shopping!  We spied at the Closet Connection, vintage Gucci, an adorable Kate Spade Dress and Prada flats.

Bowl:
Lace up your bowling shoes and bowl a strike for the Perry School .  On Friday, June 7th, join your neighbors and friends for a late afternoon of bowling, raffles, food/drinks and lots of fun including a chance to wine $1000.  This family friendly event rolls out from 4pm to 7pm at South Boston Bowl-a-rama (543 East Broadway) and the cost is $10.

Lunchtime:
Local 149 (149 P Street) will open for lunch this summer on Thursdays and Fridays.  Beginning Thursday, May 30th you can enjoy  Local 149 for lunch.  Also for summer, Local 149 will offer lunch delivery to Southie’s mecca of hot bods, M Street Beach.  Call Local 149 for details 617.269.0900

Lincoln Tavern (425 West Broadway) will be celebrating lunch with Summer Fridays.  Starting Friday, June 7th, start the weekend a little earlier with lunch at Lincoln (425 West Broadway).

Shuttle:

Block Party:
The ICA’s First Friday series kicks off this Friday, June 7th with aSummer Block Party!  Mix and mingle and indulge in some fresh shucked oysters at the Island Creek Oysters pop-up oyster bar.  Also enjoy tours of current exhibitions including a spotlight talk in Barry McGee and Expanding the Field of Painting.  There will also be a sign-painting demonstration in the Bank of America Art Lab from 7:00 to 8:00 PM.  Partake in some lawn games from 5:00 to 9:30 pm. like mini golf, or play a round of bocce with friends featuring artist-designed mini golf greens by Maria Molteni and Pat Falco. Bike:
Southie Bikes wants you to join in on the fun!  Take a casual bicycle ride around the neighborhood with special guest Nicole Freedman, Director of Boston Bikes on Thursday, June 6th at 6:30pm.  Nicole will give you the inside scoop for bicycle lanes that may be in the works for Southie residents.  You can also share your thoughts about where you’d like to see improvements in the bicycle lane department. Cyclists of all abilities are encouraged to attend. Please keep in mind that we’ll be sharing the road with other vehicles. Helmets are mandatory.  Meet at the municipal parking lot at 455 West Broadway.
