Stop by Grand Ten Distilling on Friday, March 17th 5pm–12am They’ll be stirring and shaking up specialty Irish Whiskey cocktails all night long. Run:
Run Southie run!  It’s the St. Patrick’s Day Rad Road Race! Established 1940.  This Festive and healthy 5K Road Race starts and ends at Edgerley Family South Boston Boys & Girls Club, corner of F and West Sixth Street.  All proceeds benefit South Boston Boys & Girls Club.  First 650 to register receive Official Race Shirt, designed by Dropkick Murphys!  Limited number of limited editions shirts on sale race weekend wicked cheap ($10!) March 19th – 11 AM Start.  Rad Youth Rock-Pop Band the Harmaniacs to perform before the start at 10:20.  Register here!

Pop Up:
When Irish “i’s” are smiling!  Just in time for St. Patrick’s Day Weekend, we’ve got your “Southie” wine glasses and t-shirts!   Show your Southie pride all weekend long! You can pick them up at The Beauty Bar on Friday 10am-8pm and Saturday 8am-4pm!   There’s only a limited quantity so get ‘em before they’re gone!  T-shirts are $20 and glasses are 2 for $20!

Feel like tapping your foot or clapping your hands!  There will be live Irish music on Friday, March 17th at the Seapoint – along with corned beef and cabbage of course!  State Rep. Nick Collins is getting in the spirit with a special event at Lincoln on Thursday, March 16th featuring Curragh’s Fancy and raising money for South Boston Youth Hockey League!  Tickets are $25

Participate:
In addition to St. Patrick’s day on Friday – it’s also Evacuation Day.  Evacuation day is when the Revolutionary army aka the Patriots sent the British army packing for the motherland!  How did they do it, with 50 plus cannons stolen and transported by none other that Henry Knox!  On Friday at 10am at Dorchester Heights.  See you there!

Watch:
Start off parade day with the traditional St. Patrick’s Day Breakfast.   Senator Linda Dorcena Forry will be your host and it will be filled with lots of jokes, singing, and some good old fashioned roasting.  The Breakfast will be broadcasted live on New England Cable News (NECN) starting at 10am on Sunday March 19th.

Everyone knows that the St. Patrick’s Day Parade in #Southie is some of the best people watching ever!  We’ve come up with Parade Day Bingo!  Make sure to tweet as us if you see or hear anything from Bingo and use hashtag #SouthieParadeBingo

Visit:
’Tis the season to celebrate with friends and family and Joyce Lebedew of Joyce Lebedew Real Estate is opening her offices to the military and their family at her annual St. Patrick’s Day open house! With a prime viewing spot at the corner of G and East Broadway, JLRE will be serving up some delicious food catered by a Southie fave – Joseph’s!   This will be a family friendly zone with special VIP seating for any military members and their families and Gold Star families too.  All are welcome! The fun kicks off at 1pm on Sunday, March 19th – parade day!

Support:
Help support the South Boston Public Library at their monthly book sale!  Stop by Saturday March 18th from 10am-3pm.  Books, DVDs, CDs, and lots of Children’s books!  The money supports the library programs!  Free coffee will be served!
