If we had a nickel for all the tweets we got on Sunday evening about why Day Boulevard was closed, the police presence and “crew” sign posted on H Street, we’d have a lot of nickels! Spotlight – a movie from writer/director Thomas McCarthy was back in South Boston on Sunday filming a chase scene on Day Boulevard near Moakley Park. So there you go.
Spotlight tells the story of the Boston Globe investigative team that exposed the Catholic Church sex abuse scandal. It also features an all star cast including Mark Ruffalo, Rachel McAdams, Liev Schreiber, Michael Keaton, Stanley Tucci, John Slattery, Brian d’Arcy James, Billy Crudup, and Jamey Sheridan.
We’re not sure if any stars were on Day Boulevard for the filming, but Eileen Murphy and her camera were there! Thanks for the great photo, Eileen!
