The Calico Buffalo

Way to go EJ Stapleton!  His musical The Calico Buffalo is getting rave reviews and is currently appearing in the New York Musical Theatre Festival in the heart of New York’s theater district.  He is also a finalist in the Best of the Fest contest and you can help him win!

EJ (Ed) Stapleton is a Southie native who grew up on East Fifth Street near P.  He graduated from Southie High in 1971.  EJ began the development of The Calico Buffalo five years ago based on his children’s book of the same title.  The musical tells the story of a first-born son to the chief of all buffalo arrives covered with the markings of a calico kitten, the chief, his son, and the entire buffalo nation are catapulted into the adventure of a lifetime.  The magical music of the show is composed by Grammy® Award-winning composer Peter Stopschinski  and lets the audience know they are in for one wonder-filled ride.  To read more about The Calico Buffalo you can visit: http://www.calicobuffalothemusical.com/

    My daughter LOVED the book and NOW there's the PLAY! Absolutely one of the most wonderous experiences for children…we're excited to see it over and over!

    My sister and I loved it!…the book's really fun and seeing it live is even better and the music was great!
