Paintbox: Vibrant Energy
Local artist Eileen Riestra has created new public art on the utility box at the corner of L + Broadway! It’s part of the City of Boston’s Paintbox program – with the goal of celebrating local artists by having neighborhood utility boxes painted with original designs!
Vibrant Energy features bold and bright colors complete with a beautiful bird, flowers and cacti – instantly brightening your day!
“I am from Puerto Rico born and raised and I like to bring the bright colors from the Caribbean to wherever I go. The energy that comes from the vibrant colors and the elements of nature in this piece expresses the love for diversity,” said Riestra, a resident of Midway Studios in Fort Point.
This Paintbox artwork is located directly next to Southie: Our Shared Pot of Gold.
