Monday, August 5th

Grab a blanket and head to M Street Park on Monday night and enjoy a free movie. As part of Mayor Menino’s Movie Nights, Miracle – the story of the 1980 USA Olympic hockey team – will be shown at M Street Park at dusk.

The Children’s Museum “The Big Cake Tour” will host kids activities from 5pm to 7pm. Skinny Popcorn will provide the popcorn.

It would be nice to be able to walk in Medal of Honor Park without stepping in the voluminous amount of dog crap our new neighbors leave behind their dogs. Can’t imagine sitting in the grass to watch a movie.
By the way, this is not a dog park.

Please don’t place the blame of the select few who choose to be irresponsible dog owners and lump all the rest of us in with them. Those of us who frequent the park with our dogs want it to be just as clean as you and do clean up after our pups. The park is a place of open space to share with children, dogs, and families alike. I’d like to think of it as a park that welcomes everyone. It’s unfortunate that you don’t see it the same way.
