The Lawn on D returns on May 15th

After a crazy successful summer/winter 2014/2015, The Lawn on D will open for a new season and promises to be better than ever!  Jam packed with such fun events/activities including a massive inflatable maze Pentalum (May 28-31), two ticketed musical events (including Passion Pit), and Porchfest – a national day-long celebration, a new Jukebox, the Lawn on D will be THE hot spot this summer.  

Back again this season will be Swing Time, ArtLAB’s WonderLAND, Friday Lunch Break Series, food trucks, bocce, Ping-Pong, corn hole and most important Lincoln Tavern will be manning the bar under the tent.  

The opening weekend will begin on Friday, May 15th at 5pm with a warm welcome from Jim Rooney and kick off a night of dancing featuring the classic D Street Jukebox.  Guests will also enjoy a dance party celebrating the return of Swing Time with dancing lessons from MetaMovements and Hop to the Beat.

Saturday & Sunday Highlights:
Performances will include appearances from The Lawn’s event partners American Repertory Theater’s OBERON, its Artists in Residence, The Boston Circus Guild and Berklee Music. On Sunday afternoon, The Lawn on D will welcome Grammy Nominee Alister Moock, and Parent’s Choice Award-Winner, Karen K and the Jitterbugs, performing on behalf of Kids Really Rock. Families with children won’t want to miss this special show!
 
All Weekend:
The tent, fully equipped with picnic tables and a beer and wine bar will be open all weekend featuring local food trucks and refreshments from the team at Lincoln Tavern.
