Keep those kids entertained this week! Here are some local neighborhood suggestion for school vacation week!
Skating by
The Murphy Rink is offering public skating through the winter. If you don’ t have skates, don’t worry. You can rent them from Teddy – he is the skate master (and local legend). If your blades are dull, he’ll sharpen ’em up for you! So bundle up the family and head to the rink! For hours of public skating visit here!
Lace up those bowling shoes
Head to East Broadway to Southie Candlepin and bowl a few strings at this old school institution! They are open daily 12pm-7pm. Are big balls more of your thing? Kings Dining & Entertainment in the Seaport District offers all kinds of fun! This spot features 20,000 square feet of fun at 60 Seaport Boulevard complete with 16 lanes of big ball bowling, an arcade filled with video games, pool tables, foosball a giant four-man air hockey table, shuffle board, and hoops!
Children’s Winter Festival
It’s Children’s Winter Festival Time on the Boston Common! On Thursday, February 24th from 11am-2pm. Attractions include a funhouse maze, the Snowzilla Jr. inflatable winter-themed slide, a Ski Lift photo op, an inflatable curling lane, All Star Challenge obstacle course, rides in the park on the Trackless Train, family dance classes, and hands-on games including Connect Four, Skee Ball, cornhole, horseshoes, Jenga, chess, and field games facilitated by Knucklebones. Check out Conversation Hearts
Did you know that conversation hearts turn 120 this year? Come celebrate this South Boston-born candy classic via Necco with a super-sized installation at The Rocks.
