Classic Football Shirts Brings Global Football Culture to Seaport for FIFA World Cup 2026

First-ever Seaport pop-up taps into surging U.S. fandom with rare archive pieces and match-day experiences
BOSTON, MA – May 27, 2026 — As the FIFA World Cup 2026 arrives in the United States and global football fandom continues to surge, Classic Football Shirts will open its first Boston pop-up in Boston Seaport, bringing one of the world’s most extensive collections of soccer jerseys to the city during the tournament.
Founded in Manchester, UK in 2006, Classic Football Shirts has grown into a global destination for football fans, serving customers in more than 130 countries. Boston was selected as the brand’s newest location for its role as a World Cup host and for the mix of local fans and international visitors expected during the tournament. The pop-up will be open May 28 through July 23.
Classic Football Shirts stores are designed to transport fans back in time, offering a space to reconnect with the moments, teams, and players that define the sport. More than retail spaces, they operate as living time capsules, blending nostalgia with a curated collecting experience.
Classic Football Shirts serves as a destination for building the ultimate soccer jersey collection, from vintage pieces to the latest kits. Shoppers can find everything from a rare England jersey from the 1980s to jerseys from the teams playing matches this summer, with a wide range of styles in between.
“Seaport has become a destination for global brands and experiences, and the World Cup presents a unique opportunity to welcome something that speaks to an international audience,” said Katelyn Lorrey, Associate Director, Digital Engagement for Boston Seaport by WS Development. “Classic Football Shirts brings a strong point of view and a level of authenticity that aligns with the energy we’re building across the neighborhood for the World Cup.”
The Boston pop-up will reflect the brand’s full global offering, with a particular focus on teams playing matches in the market during the tournament. It will also feature the newly released Classic Football Shirts book, a curated look at football shirt culture drawing from the company’s archive of more than 8,000 match-worn jerseys, including pieces tied to iconic players and moments spanning from Pelé and Zidane to Ronaldo. The store will also offer jerseys associated with legendary players across generations, including David Beckham and Lionel Messi.
“We’re excited to bring a Classic Football Shirts pop-up to Boston this summer as we continue growing our presence in the US,” shares Doug Bierton, CEO. “Boston is one of the world’s great sports cities, and with fans from England, Scotland, France, Norway and beyond coming into town this summer, it felt like the perfect place for us to set up shop. We look forward to welcoming soccer fans old and new into the space throughout the summer.”
Programming at the pop-up will be tied to major matches taking place in Boston, with themed in-store takeovers and events built around key games like France vs. Norway on June 25, where two of the world’s best players, Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland, will face off at the global stage. Adding to the excitement, the store will host a special in-store activation with Nike on June 25, with more details to be revealed in the coming weeks here. Throughout the tournament, the space will continue to transform for marquee match days with partner activations and collaborations, including with the local New England Revolution. Additional programming details will be announced here.
Classic Football Shirts will be open Monday – Saturday from 11 AM to 7 PM and Sunday from 12 PM to 6 PM in The Superette at 70 Pier 4 Blvd, Boston, MA 02210. For more information, visit classicfootballshirts.com and follow Classic Football Shirts on TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube.
