BOSTON, MA — September 17, 2026 – The Current returns to Boston Seaport on September 25 with a warm new theme for its 20th season: Fireside at The Current, bringing a cozy cold-weather retreat to Seaport Common. A lodge-inspired setting inspired by the comfort and connection of gathering around a fire, the latest season brings together nine pop-ups spanning apparel, accessories, jewelry, beauty, performance gear and sweet treats. Open September 25, 2026 through January 31, 2027, the pop-up village along Seaport Common will once again create a lively destination for discovering emerging concepts, local businesses and returning favorites.
To celebrate opening day, Boston Seaport will host a free kickoff event at Seaport Common on Friday, September 25 from 4pm to 6pm. Visitors can explore the season’s nine pop-ups while enjoying a build-your-own s’mores station, hot cocoa topping bar, sparkling cider mocktails and festive activities throughout the village. Fireside at The Current reimagines the seasonal storefronts for the cooler months, which are draped in a rich green and studded with a modern quilt pattern. The experience invites visitors to step inside, explore, enjoy a treat, and discover something new in the heart of the neighborhood.
“The Current’s 20th season is an exciting milestone, celebrating its continued role in bringing new brands and shopping experiences to Seaport,” said Ariel Foxman, Area VP, Brand & Experience for Boston Seaport by WS Development. “This fall, Fireside at The Current continues that tradition, creating a platform for emerging concepts to enter physical retail in a meaningful way while bringing something new and unexpected to Seaport. This fall brings together returning favorites and new concepts in a warm, inviting setting that encourages visitors to discover new brands and embrace the season in Seaport.”
Throughout the season, guests can shop returning brands alongside first-time concepts offering unique products, personalized experiences, and seasonal offerings. Fireside at The Current’s lineup includes:
- Elli Parr (New) – Founded in Vermont in 2015 by Sara Nelson, Elli Parr is a handcrafted jewelry brand known for timeless, wearable pieces featuring natural gemstones, pearls and quality metals. The pop-up will bring a mini jewel box version of Elli Parr’s South Burlington flagship and design studio to Boston, including a DIY jewelry bar where guests can choose from pendants, charms, beads and gemstones to create their own pieces. Throughout the season, the shop will offer activations including permanent jewelry, ear piercing and engraving, along with custom launches and a seasonally refreshed charm bar. It will also feature fall and holiday collections, plus Seaport-inspired customization elements available exclusively during Elli Parr’s time at The Current.“We are so excited to bring Elli Parr to Boston and to be part of The Current. As a Vermont-founded brand, we’ve built Elli Parr very organically — first through our customers, then our flagship store and our growing community of retail partners — and Boston feels like such a natural next step for us. It’s personal, too: I grew up on the South Shore, so this pop-up feels a bit like coming home.” – Sara Nelson, Founder & Owner, Elli Parr
- It’s For Now with Maker Scholar (New) – Founded in Boston by best friends Kaity Cimo and Katherine ReQua, For Now was created to give emerging brands a place where their products could be discovered, experienced and tried on. After falling in love with the concept at its Nantucket location, friends Dee Fabbricatore and Hannah Poindexter purchased the business and made the island its new home. Now returning to where it all began in Seaport, For Now will offer its own playful apparel alongside handmade accessories and pieces from independent makers. For the pop-up, For Now has partnered with artist Maker Scholar to create a highly personalized shopping experience featuring on-site engraving and rotating embroidery, hand-illustration and patch events. Guests can also discover exclusive Maker Scholar pieces, limited-edition Boston merchandise and a new jacket bar where they can select a base and collar to design their own jacket.“We couldn’t be more excited to bring a piece of For Now to the mainland. We’ve teamed up with the artist Maker / Scholar to build something that’s part shop, part customization party — a place where you can engrave, embroider, and personalize almost everything you buy. In a season when shopping can feel a little rushed or impersonal, we’re here to make the most personal shop in the Seaport.” – Dee Fabbricatore, For Now Co-Owner
- Morandi (New) – Morandi was founded to make shopping feel more personal, curated and effortless. Serving as both stylist and editor, the brand searches across major retailers and independent designers to bring together a carefully selected mix of contemporary and emerging fashion in one destination. New to The Current, guests can discover stylish, wearable pieces from established and emerging designers alongside collaborations with local and nationally recognized brands. Throughout the season, the pop-up will also offer preseason previews, special pieces available for custom order, limited-edition product drops and a rotating schedule of events.
- MYKA (New) – Founded in Madrid in 2023 by French-Mexican chef Natalia Morales and business-development executive Javier Ezquerro, MYKA will bring its authentic Greek frozen yogurt experience to Boston with its debut at Fireside at The Current. Crafted with premium Greek yogurt and goat’s milk kefir using real fermented ingredients, MYKA’s signature frozen yogurt offers a distinctive balance of creaminess, tanginess and freshness. Guests can personalize their frozen yogurt with a selection of artisanal toppings inspired by Mediterranean ingredients and French pastry, including praliné crunch, chocolate crumble with fleur de sel, reimagined baklava, fruit compotes, Sicilian pistachios, extra-virgin olive oil and orange-blossom honey. Throughout the season, MYKA will offer an evolving experience featuring seasonal flavors, limited-edition creations and new culinary combinations.
- NOBULL (Returning) – Boston-born performance brand NOBULL brings its award-winning footwear, apparel, and nutrition back to Seaport. Founded in 2015, the brand was built on a simple philosophy: remove the hype and focus on creating durable, high-performance products for people who put in the work. NOBULL has grown into a global fitness community known for its “no excuses” mentality and minimalist design.“Boston is NOBULL’s hometown, so having a retail presence in the city where the brand was born is incredibly meaningful to us. Joining The Current allows us to connect with our customers in person and celebrate the community that helped shape the brand from the start. We’re excited to have a physical space where our community can experience the product, the mentality, and the culture that define NOBULL.” – Susie Mulder, Chief Operating Officer, NOBULL
- The Sweetish Fish (Returning) – Returning to The Current for its third consecutive season, The Sweetish Fish brings its modern take on the classic candy shop to Seaport. Inspired by the viral popularity of Scandinavian sweets, the shop offers a colorful assortment of Swedish candy and international treats displayed behind the counter in a playful “Catch of the Day” style. Guests can build their own custom candy assortment by the ounce or grab a pre-packed bag for an easy treat on the go. Sweetish Fizz draft sodas in candy-inspired concoctions will also be available. The pop-up captures the nostalgic fun of a candy store while introducing visitors to the growing global fascination with Swedish candy.
- Tiny Chaos Studios (New) – Founded in Allston in 2025 by Boston University graduates Xam and Mei, Tiny Chaos Studios is Boston’s first and only DIY press-on nail studio. Combining Xam’s background as a nail artist with Mei’s experience in painting and graphic design, the studio makes creativity approachable through guided nail-art classes, open studios, workshops and wellness events. Its Seaport pop-up will offer an experience described as “Build-A-Bear, but for nails,” inviting guests to create personalized take-home kits by choosing from more than 100 gel-polish colors, selecting nail charms and customizing their tools and supplies. Guests can also build personalized self-care boxes and discover rotating gel colors, nail-art supplies, ready-made press-on sets, seasonal additions and collaborations with other artists and small businesses.“One year ago, a student in one of my classes asked me where I wanted Tiny Chaos Studios to be in a year. I said, ‘You know those pop up stores in Seaport? I wanna be in one of those.’ At the time, it felt like one of those big goals you say out loud without knowing exactly how you are going to get there. Now, almost exactly one year later, we are opening our own space at The Current. It feels incredibly full circle, especially for a business that started with us taking a chance on an idea and opening our first studio in just two months. I am so excited to introduce Tiny Chaos to a new part of Boston and see where this next little bit of chaos takes us.” – Xam, Co-Founder of Tiny Chaos Studios
- Union Square Donuts (Returning) – Union Square Donuts brings its chef-driven approach to donuts to Seaport. Born in Somerville and built on a commitment to quality and creativity, the beloved local bakery is known for donuts made fresh daily from scratch using high-quality ingredients. The brand has built a loyal following across Boston thanks to inventive flavors that balance nostalgic favorites with bold, crave-worthy creations. At The Current, guests can expect rotating flavors, Seaport-exclusive donut specials, and limited-run offerings throughout the season. Ahead of its official opening, Union Square Donuts will preview a limited fall menu featuring seasonal selections including cider donuts. Guests can follow the brand on social media for the latest preview dates and times.
- WNTR by Bobbles & Lace (New) – Founded in Marblehead, MA in 2008, Bobbles & Lace has grown from a single store into nearly 30 locations across the country. Founder Lindsay Rando created the new concept WNTR after recognizing a need for ski wear that felt as exciting and fashion-forward as the clothing women choose to wear anywhere else. Crafted from premium vegan materials with versatility, the cold-weather collection combines fashion and function in pieces designed for the mountain and beyond. The Current will host WNTR’s first-ever dedicated space, where guests can explore the debut 2026 collection, receive personalized styling and discover new looks launching throughout the season. The pop-up will also offer WNTR-themed gifts, surprises and additional experiences during its run.“We’re so excited to be part of The Current and bring something new to the Seaport. WNTR has become such a special part of Bobbles & Lace, and having the opportunity to create its first dedicated space alongside Bobbles & Lace feels like the perfect next step. We can’t wait to bring the two together in a really fun way and create something our clients haven’t experienced from us before.” – Lindsay Rando, Founder of Bobbles & Lace
