PKL is hosting Mahjong and Margaritas Guide Play night on January 29th! Guided Play Mahjong Night is designed for players who have recently attended Learn to Play and are ready to test their skills in real games, with expert support along the way. You must already generally know the basics of Mahjong, including how to read the card, build hands, and follow game flow. During play, a guide will be available to answer questions, offer helpful hints, remind you the dealing pattern, and reinforce strategy—so you can gain confidence without the pressure of fully open play. On the third Sunday of every month from 11am–1pm, Mei Mei hosts a lively Hong Kong–style mahjong meetup that’s all about fun, learning, and local love. Each session donates 50% of ticket sales to a featured neighborhood nonprofit. Upcoming dates include January 18, February 15, March 15, and April 19. Get your Sound Healing Certification
Summer Street Wellness is offering a two-day course! This course provides students with a comprehensive foundation in sound healing, equipping them with both the theoretical knowledge and practical skills needed to incorporate sound healing into their personal practice or wellness offerings. Lifebloom – a candle bar + shop that creates handmade candles from start to finish right here in South Boston – will be opening its doors on Friday on West Broadway. Lifebloom was created by husband-and-wife duo Eric and Megan after a weekend getaway in Vermont. Wishing to bring their favorite aspects of the outdoors home, they created candles that evoked memories of nature.
