5 simple things for mom
It’s Mother’s Day – a day of honor and gratitude. Here are 5 simple things that say, “Thanks, Mom!”
Sleep:
Every mom dreams of getting extra sleep – so keep the kids quiet and let her get a few extra hours of shut-eye.
Food:
The idea of breakfast in bed always sounds good but in actuality it’s normally a slightly stressful mess. Breakfast at the table is just as sweet, just as delicious and a little more relaxing than trying to take a sip of hot coffee with two kids jumping on the bed. Make her breakfast, take her to brunch or plan a quiet dinner after the kids go to bed.
Work-out:
A little exercise is a great addition to any Mother’s Day itinerary. A run or walk around Castle Island or a trip to the gym will help energize mom and put a smile on her face.
Duly Noted:
Take five minutes and thank your mom/wife for all the wonderful things that she has done in a note or a card. All moms want to be appreciated and heartfelt words is the perfect way to show how much you care.
Peace and quiet:
What mom wouldn’t love to sit quietly and read a book or flip through the newest edition of US weekly all by themselves in the quiet of their living room. Better yet, a copy of Fifty Shades of Grey and the privacy of her bedroom.
Simple things but big gestures that mom will really appreciate! Happy Mother’s Day!
