Elliott Physical Therapy now offers Hawkin Dynamic Force Plates to Track Strength and Recovery

Elliott Physical Therapy in South Boston has added some impressive new technology to help patients recover from injuries, build strength, and improve performance.
The new Hawkin Dynamics Force Plates and TruStrength Dynamometry measure how much force your body produces during movements like jumping, squatting, and landing. The plates collect data 1,000 times per second, giving physical therapists a detailed look at how your body moves and where compensations occur. With TruStrength, our PT’s can measure precisely and make science-based decisions to guide your care and reach your goals.
With two plates, the team can measure each leg separately and identify strength differences and imbalances that may not be visible to the naked eye. This is especially helpful for patients recovering from knee, ankle, hip, or other injuries.

The technology also lets physical therapists track progress with real numbers rather than relying solely on how a patient feels or moves. This information can help guide decisions about returning to running, sports, and everyday activities.
“We’ve been using Hawkin Dynamics for a month now, and I can tell you it is game-changing. We now have detailed and specific information to act on as we work with our patients. They love the feedback and the clear side-by-side comparisons, and our PT’s can drill down to the exact issues they need to be working on,” says Eric Cardin at Elliott Physical Therapy
This technology provided key insights at the NFL Combine but you don’t have to be a professional athlete to benefit! Whether you’re training for a race, recovering from surgery, or just looking to get stronger, force plates and dynamometry can provide valuable insight into your recovery and performance.
