The community of South Boston is shocked and outraged to hear the news that a 67-year-old-woman was stabbed to death inside her East Seventh Street home this morning. 

According to reports, the woman – identified as Barbara Coyne –  was found bleeding from a stab a little after 10 a.m..  Discovered by her son who quickly called 911, she was rushed to the hospital where she was pronounced dead. 
No arrests have been made in connection with this case yet but police have been canvassing the neighborhood since this morning.  Anyone with any information can call the anonymous tips line at 800-494-TIPS.

Our hearts go out to the family of Barbara Coyne.

    If the remains of the person(s) who committed this crime were to be left on the steps of Station 6 as a warning to others who might consider doing something so evil in this town, I’m pretty sure most people would consider this justice and rightfully so. If/when they are caught, no quarter, no mercy, no second chances, no matter who’s family they might be part of should be shown. Some things are unforgiveable.
