I would have to say my best Southie bartender would have to be KENNY RYAN at L STREET TAVERN. he is courtious polite, knows what he is doing, friendly, always has a smile on his face, extremly professional.. maybe the reason he is speciel to me is the fact that when I was 19 and he was 5 I would babyset him and his two brothers a few times.  Kenny is also the type that is interested in  helping others , and has a good head on his shoulders.

Kenny Ryan at L Street. So happy to see everyone that comes into the bar, even if you haven’t been there for months chances are he will remember what you had to drink last time! Such a happy guy, even when things get out of hand he handles any issue with courtesy and ease.

    Steve Tallent, Cornerstone.

Always the best of them. Best goddamned bartender from Timbuktu to Portland, Maine. Or Portland, Oregon, for that matter.

Stephen Tallent at the Cornerstone is hands down the best bartender around. He treats the crowd to funny songs on the jukebox that he pays for himself. Always in a good mood and would give his life for any person who comes in. There was even a heated incidient where a firefighter was being teased for an odor he was being blamed for and he eased the situation with a smile. He’s sleepy come closing time, but still laughing.

Buddy at Cornerstone. First off his name is Buddy, he is everyones buddy! He makes everyone feel comfortable, espically when you walk into a place that has some old timers in it. He is attentive, pays attention to your needs, and will listen to what you have to say. Even if you are driving him crazy.

Buddy has been working at Cornerstone for most of life, Cornstone is his second home, and takes pride it. He is the true Southie Bartender.

I never thought the bartender mattered until I was served by Steve Tallent at The Cornerstone…. Steve’s elequence, charm and good looks are rivaled only by the sheer magnitude of his volume.
