The Quiet Man Pub is no more.  Of course, the restaurant has been closed since 2008, but today, Tuesday, October 11th 2011, the building (11 West Broadway) that once housed the legendary pub known for it’s rough and tumble patrons and amazing steak tips, has been demolished.

A sign of the times and the ever gentrification of Southie, a new 60 unit luxury condo complex will take it’s place.   In the lobby will be a Subway and Starbucks – sort of like the final nails in the coffin of an era long gone.

We will miss you Quiet Man with your colorful characters and Prime Rib Wednesday.

Subway? I ate there once in NH and it was not fresh like it says in the commercial. The meatball Magoosta from Magoo’s will put Subway out of business in 6 months.

Luxury Condos with a SubWay in the lobby? Sounds very high end.
