When it comes to quality of life issues living in Southie, right after parking and traffic is dog poop. This Southie neighbor has had it up to here with the jerk on her block who has been leaving bags of poop on the sidewalk near her backyard fence on Emmet Street.
“Someone continually puts their bag of dog poop on the sidewalk right outside our backyard fence on Emmett Street. We had to pick up multiple bags last week and as of this morning, they had added 3 bags this week. I don’t understand why this person thinks that this is a trash barrel? It’s rude and disgusting.”
Exhibit A: Dog Poop Bags
We couldn’t agree more! To the offender we say, “Hey, jerk! If you’ve gone through the effort of picking up the poop in a bag, find a God damn trash barrel and throw it away! Be a good neighbor!”
To the neighbor who’s picking up the poop bags, we say, “Thank you for being a good neighbor and you should go old school Southie and organize a neighborhood watch and take turns running a surveillance on the area.” Eventually, you will catch the bastard! Post a little handmade sign that reads, “We’re watching you.” It might make them reconsider unloading the shit bag, right?

To clarify; ‘the dog owner’s trash can’. I really don’t want your dog’s shitbags in my trash cans. It stinks and it’s gross. Your dog, your problem. Deal with it.

A) it’s not in “the trash”, it’s on the sidewalk.
B) if you make the effort to put it in a bag, why drop it in this specific place on the sidewalk?
C) gated trash barrels are not public trash barrels. If you have a dog, bring the waste home with you and dispose of it properly

Sorry you feel that way “Pointless post.” The fact of the matter is dog poop is a huge quality of life issue for Southie residents. I also wish you were brave enough to use your real name and email address. Using fake email address is a low standard as well – be better.
Weekend update – Sunday the 26th at 11:30AM and there are 3 more bags. I’m just a friendly neighbor who saw this post and immediately recognized the location.

I’m going to tape a sign up letting the perpetrator know we are on to them, maybe if they see this post they’ll stop.
I had the same problem, I just happened to be in my alley when it came over my gate, I addressed the person properly and I informed her that if she did it again I was calling Code Enforcement as I was talking with her my brother snapped a picture, to this day I haven’t seen her in my neighborhood lately.

Maybe we could enlist their help. Purchasers of green bags sign an agreement stating they will dispose properly? A simple idea that may help.
