Beautify South Boston.  Join Southie Trees and the West Broadway Neighborhood Association for a tree planting day!

The good people of Grow Boston Greener approved a grant for new trees to
be planted in South Boston. Grow Boston Greener is an initiative between the
city and the Boston Natural Areas Network to increase urban forest cover.  These beautiful new trees will be planted along the Foundry Street Train Yard and near the “Golden Stairs” at Covington Streets. 

Come join your neighbors along with Southie Trees and the West Broadway Neighborhood Association on Saturday, November 5th. 

PLANTING SCHEDULE:
8am-10am – WBNA will start planting six london plane trees on Foundry
Street along the train yard.
10am-12pm – Southie Trees will be planting four flowering cherry trees
along the Golden Staircase on Covington Street
After 12pm – Free lunch and refreshments will be served after the
planting has finished!

Be a good citizen of South Boston and help out!  Any amount of time will e much appreciated!
