Make Southie a little greener in 2013
Planet Southie invites you to come together for their monthly meeting on Thursday, January 24th from 6:30pm-7:30pm at the Distillery (516 East Second Street). Come and listen to Transportation Engineer Mike Tremblay as he shares his study and design ideas for East and West Broadway. Tremblay will identify problem intersections, and present possible solutions ranging from the obvious to the innovative.
The presentation, devised by Tremblay and other former students of Northeastern University’s Civil Engineering Program, is focused around the idea of adding safer walking, biking and other street amenities to East and West Broadway. The plan is presented as food for thought along with other improvements for all modes of transportation. ??All are encouraged to attend and provide their feedback.??Walk, Bike and Transit/Bus Action Teams will meet after Mike’s presentation and Q&A session.
