Move In Day Specials in South Boston: Local Businesses Are Making September 1st a Little Easier

We realize September 1st Move-In Day in Southie can be stressful — and sometimes even a little nightmarish. Between the moving trucks, traffic, parking issues, and trash everywhere, it can be a lot! Luckily, some local businesses are stepping in with special deals, food and drink, and a little bit of fun to make moving day easier. Check back, as we will be adding to the list! The Broadway
The Broadway is bringing back its move-in day parking tickets! Look for a “ticket” on your car that’s actually good for $10 off your next visit.
Hamersley’s Pantry
Hamersley’s Pantry is making moving-day dinner easy with its First Night in Southie Dinner. Each one includes Grassy Roots Meatballs, Zelli Spaghetti, and two Oh Ship Caroline’s Cookies. Pre-orders are open through August 28 for September 1 pickup.
The Playwright
The Playwright is hosting a Southie Orientation throughout September. Pick up a punch card, complete different “assignments,” and you could win a Southie starter pack with a Playwright gift card and a Gold Card that lets you skip the line at The Broadway and The Playwright with up to six friends.
The Dirty Italian
The Dirty Italian is offering a $20 Move-In Day Special from August 28 through September 1. Choose any bada bing-size sandwich, a Dirty Italian soda, and a chocolate chip cookie. Available in-store only, with no add-ons; gluten-free wraps are available.
The Shamrock
The Shamrock will offer half off all appetizers all day on September 1, beginning at noon.
