More Blue Ribbons for Colin McGrath
July 25th marks the anniversary of the tragic death of Colin McGrath after a car crash at the corner of L and 6th last year. Blue ribbons began popping up on doors, railings, telephone poles, flower pots and fences all over Southie in support of the McGrath family. Let’s make sure that blue ribbons are everywhere this week!
You can purchase them at Stapleton’s Floral on East Broadway. It’s a simple way to show your love and support!
Another way to show your support
Boston Medical Center’s Child Life team skillfully carried the McGrath Family through the awful first days after the accident, and helped to transition them back to the real world as best anyone could. To help turn the anniversary of their tragedy into something positive, the McGrath Family worked with BMC’s Child Life team to create an Amazon wishlist to support the work of their program. Please consider donating an item to honor the work of these wonderful people, Colin’s memory, and Sloane’s journey, as the anniversary of the accident approaches. Items donated will allow their team to bring smiles to the faces of scared children and help ease their fears when they are in the hospital.
Help us spread #colinsjoy to other families and children who need it now. You can find the link to the Amazon wishlist here.
