Love is in the air: Parakeet matchmaking

On Monday, we reported about parakeets discovered in Southie and Dorchester! Well, we are happy to report a happy ending to one of the parakeets found – the one from Andrew Square.
Linda – a South Boston resident who found the little yellow parakeet – posted the news on Next Door. A bird lover reached out and adopted the found parakeet.
Love Connection
The woman who adopted the parakeet did so because she has one the same color and its mate (also the same color) died about three months ago. Due to the pandemic, she was unable to replace the bird due to pet stores being closed and lack of selection of parakeets.
“Ducky” the parakeet is now living with his new family and hopefully will find love with his new mate.
“I was thrilled with the outcome,” said Linda. So are we, Linda!
