to build or not to build

As a resident of South Boston, we’re sure you are aware of the development taking place in town.  Well, there the fate of one patch of land is to be decided this week.  The Department of Neighborhood Development is hosting a meeting on Wednesday, June 26th at 6:30 pm at the Condon School (200 D Street) to discuss the use of a 16,000 square feet site between West First and West Second streets.

Some ideas for this space range from parking, to a park, to an urban garden.

Be informed and get involved.  Your opinion counts and you just might have the best idea in the room.

You can get 30 condos in there. Why stop now? You’re almost at Broadway Station.

I would love to see more green space in southie.  I would vote for using the land for an urban garden or park.

No more building!!!! Keep it GREEN….. a park would be nice…. we don’t need any more parking lots either…or any more neighbors!!! Overcrowded as is………

A parking lot.  That way all the people that come into Southie from Friday-Sunday for the bars can park there rather than take up residential parking. (Wishful thinking I know)
