Have you ever wondered how our country can be so overweight as a whole, while being completely obsessed with weight loss?  One would think being overly critical and engrossed in being “thin” would lead us to be one the thinnest nations in the world, or at the very least one of the healthiest.  We are none of these.  Instead, we are a nation of “fix me quick’s!” and “easy breezys.”  These diet pill-get me thin now tricks almost entirely become unsustainable, and lead to even more weight gain than before you delved into the latest drastic weight loss trend.  Not to mention they are unhealthy, and in the end can make you feel even more frustrated when you can’t keep it going.
As a health coach working with my clients in an effort to attain their weight loss goals, I begin simply…. with lemons.

Yes, lemons. They are one of nature’s most powerful fruits, which immediately perform high voltage Fung-Fu on your body.  Not only are they delicious, they are filled with Vitamin C as well as beneficial enzymes.

The liver is our main fat burning organ.  Extreme dieting, processed foods, a diet filled with meat and dairy and toxins from food and our environment, all create a sad, sluggish, less then optimal functioning liver.  The nutritional qualities of lemons help the liver to begin ridding itself of these harmful toxins that keep you from burning fat.
In addition to aiding the liver to remove built of toxins, lemons also provide antiviral and antibacterial qualities as well as immune boosting properties.  YAY!

So begin by squeezing ½ a lemon into warm/hot water first thing when you wake up.  After squeezing the hell out of it, cut it up into pieces and use it in your bottle of water that you will drink through out the day.  Now, if that isn’t easy breezy,I don’t know what is!
