Passing of the baton!
For 27 years, Jackie and Susan Woods have been the loveliest of hosts of L Street Tavern located at L and 8th in Southie! It’s a local neighborhood favorite filled with old-school and new-school alike with traditions like the New Year’s Day Plunge, sports celebrations, and St. Patrick’s Day! On Friday, Susan and Jackie announced on social media they would be selling the bar to new Southie owners!
L Street Tavern was the backdrop for Good Will Hunting, which came out in 1997, putting South Boston on the map.
Thank you to the entire Woods family for their love and dedication to Southie via warm hospitality in one of the best bars in the neighborhood!
We want to wish the Medico family the best of luck in their endeavors as the new owners of this legendary bar!
