Holiday-palooza!
Need a little lift to your Christmas spirit? We’ve got some recommendations of things happening around town to have you feeling a little merrier.
Goodwill:
Support your neighborhood Boys and Girls Club at the Southie Community Holiday Party on Wednesday, December 14th at 7pm. The festivities will be held at Stadium Bar and Grill (232 Old Colony Ave.) including, appetizers, desserts, cash bar, music and a live raffle. Tickets are just $10. Holiday Cheer:
50 West Broadway hosting a special wine tasting and fundraiser to help The Home for Little Wanderers. On Wednesday, December 21st at 5pm, Social Wines will have delicious wine for you to sample and enjoy. Bring a gift card to donate (TJ Maxx, Marshalls, Old Navy, Target, Walmart, Stop & Shop and CVS) and you’ll receive raffle tickets f or some great prizes in exchange. Nostalgia:
It’s a Wonderful Life airs on NBC on Christmas Eve this year (8pm-11pm). Snuggle up on the couch with some egg nog and someone you love and watch the classic Frank Capra film starring Jimmy Stewart and Donna Reed. Make sure you have the Kleenex at the ready. It will make you look at life a little differently and put you in the Christmas spirit.
Rock the new year:
Barlow’s
Barlow’s (241 A Street) is celebrating the new year with a 3 course dinner ($49.95), a live DJ, complimentary party favors, and a champagne toast at midnight.
