A special Southie shout-out to Jessica Nauyokas Zingg who thought of her fellow South Bostonian Erin Lee this past Veterans Day.
Erin was hosting a Marine Corps Birthday Ball Celebration for the wives, girlfriends, and families of the deployed Marines – 125 Battalion. Her husband Captain Andrew Lee (1st Battalion 25th Marines – Bravo Company) is currently serving in Afghanistan. Needing a dessert for the event, Erin ordered cupcakes from local baker Jessica Nauyokas Zingg.
Jessica happily baked them and delivered them to Erin saying they were free of charge and wished her a Happy Veterans Day.
That’s what we call a really sweet dessert!
Drew was born and raised in South Boston and is raising his four children here as well. When not serving in the Marine Corp, Drew is a Boston Firefighter.
