The following is a letter from a resident in the F Street neighborhood:

Hey, Caught in Southie!

I am not sure if you post things like this, so if you don’t, no problem. But it’s on my mind and you have contact with so many people in the neighborhood that I thought it might be worth asking.

On Thursday night, around 2:30am, I heard a woman screaming somewhere near F and
Broadway. She yelled for help and told someone to get away from her. I heard
a man say something like “alright,” and then it was quiet. I looked out the
window and didn’t see anything.

I assumed someone had come up and, maybe accidentally, scared her and then
left her alone. I checked with the police later and they had no reports of
anything unusual. But this is really on my mind. I’ve lived here a long time
and have heard my share of drunk people fighting etc. but this was different.

If you are the woman who screamed, or you know her, will you please post or
send a message to say that everything is okay?

Thanks for reading!

    Dear Concerned,

    You are a joke!

If you were so concerned, maybe you could have done somethng like call 911 when you heard her scream for help.

    Am I reading this correctly?

You could not go out, you could not yell out your window, and you did not call 911.

Yet you had the time to follow up with police to see if someone else called.

    The headline should read…..

    Ignorant Neighbor, or Lazy Neighbor.

    Definately not Concerned.
