The City of Boston is accepting applications for fall funding for the Community Preservation Act.  This fund helps with affordable housing, historic preservation, parks and open space.

Last year the Harry McDonough Sailing Center was approved for funding by Mayor Marty Walsh and the City of Boston!  What projects or organization would you like to see receive funding next year?

Deadline is September 28th.  Get more information here!

Would love to see the walkway on the post office side of the fort point channel be resurrected and redone. Might not be feasible due to the tractor trailers need for the space, but I’ve always felt that was wrong of them to close it off.

So this has turned into basically a bucket of money that people can apply for to get their own pet projects paid for with no doubt a friendly contribution to a pols campaign account for a recommendation of approval. this is nothing but a slush fund- huge mistake. I really hope this gets repealed at some point.
