When we recently drove by the old Supreme House of Pizza on Old Colony Ave near the Rotary, we saw a sign that read “Virtual Food Court.” We quickly did a Google search and discovered it is a soon-to-be new restaurant featuring a wide variety of international food, including American, Asian, Mediterranean, Middle Eastern, and more. Initially, we thought maybe it would be like a ghost kitchen or some sort of delivery/takeout outlet. But it’s going to be an actual, real-life restaurant…for now.
According to a Universal Hub report (via Boston Restaurant Talk ), the Boston Licensing Board just approved plans for Virtual Food Court (VFC) to open at 313 Old Colony Ave.
Initially, the owner of VFC was seeking a license for takeout/delivery only. However, with concerns from the neighborhood about congestion due to traffic and lack of parking, they decided to seek a license for a dine-in restaurant with seating for 14. The addition of takeout and delivery services will be addressed at another hearing in the future.
A Google Business Profile describes VFC as the following:
“Welcome to Virtual Food Court (VFC), a culinary haven where the richness of diverse cuisines converges with the convenience of an open kitchen. At VFC, our pride lies in crafting a gastronomic journey beyond borders, offering Middle Eastern delights, sizzling Mexican grills, authentic Italian pizzas, refreshing bubble teas, crisp salads, flavorful wings, and mouthwatering fried chicken. Our concept is centered around uniting these culinary treasures under one virtual roof, creating a sensory feast where every bite narrates a unique story. VFC is exclusively designed for online ordering, ensuring a seamless dining experience for both pickup, curbside and delivery. Elevate your dining journey with VFC from the comfort of your home !!”
So we shall see what VFC ends up evolving into. Follow them on Instagram for the latest.
But we can’t help but think of this episode of Seinfeld.

I would think twice about eating at a place with this concept. Cross contamination in the small kitchen would be my concern
