SAVR one step closer to opening in the neighborhood.

Universal Hub is reporting that the Boston Licensing Board approved plans for a new and fancy restaurant at 150 Seaport Blvd. (Once home to Whiskey Priest and the Atlantic Beer Garden.)

According to a press release sent to us back in August, SAVRTM, a modern spirited American bistro, will open at The St. Regis Residences, in late fall.  The menu will offer creative comfort classics, elevated bistro favorites, and fresh and often local seafood.

The restaurant will have seats for 289 spread out over two levels in addition to a patio for 69.  SAVR will use Whiskey Priest’s old liquor license and needs to get the state Alcoholic Beverages Control Commission’s approval.

According to Universal Hub, the Licensing Board voted in favor of the restaurant after SAVR agreed to set aside 500 square feet on the first floor as a waiting area for ferries, along with public restrooms, and outdoor signs on the Harborwalk pointing to the facilities.
