New on the Horizon: Small Victories – a new bar + restaurant
In the ever-changing landscape of restaurants in the neighborhood, a new one is on the horizon for South Boston! According to Boston Eater, the team behind Quiet Few – an East Boston whiskey bar— will be opening a new restaurant and bar called Small Victories at 400 Dorchester Street.
The 6-story building in Andrew Square was completed in October 2021 and is a mix of residential and commercial spaces.

It will be a Small Victory if this place stays open 2years. The building itself is the best design of any new structure in Southie. It looks like it’s been there for years. The crazy busy intersection with no parking isn’t a winning formula. Five years from. Now the Mary Ellen McCormick housing project will be transformed into mixed income housing .St Monica’s church will also be condos. At that point this location may make sense for an eatery. Until then, the over\ under is 24 months before Small Victory admits defeat,
Can’t wait for this! There are a ton of people within walking distance (myself included) who have been waiting for a good bar we can walk to. Wishing these folks all the success in the world. I know I’ll be there supporting you along with my many neighbors. Looking forward to welcoming you to the ‘hood!
