Friday, August 31st is National Eat Outside Day and with temps forecasted to be in the 70’s, it’s perfect weather to be outdoors! Here’s a roundup of our favorite spots in Southie to eat outside!

Sullivan’s
This iconic food stand has been serving up hot dogs, cheeseburgers, ice cream and more for more than 60 years to South Boston and beyond! Head to this favorite spot located on Castle Island and order up some lunch! We recommend the fried clams and the lobster roll! Sit on the grass or at one of the many picnic tables! Enjoy the planes coming and going from Logan Airport.

Coppersmith
This wildly popular Southie destination has one of the best views around! Coppersmith features their Airdeck – a classically-outfitted vintage Airstream serving craft beer, wine and specialty seasonal cocktails right on top of the roof! Enjoy views of the city skyline and snack on a radio flyer wagon filled with nachos! Yes!

Moonshine 152
Moonshine has a quaint patio with plenty of tables to sit at! Open for dinner at 5pm, sit outside and sip on a craft cocktail and share some apps like their famous Korean BBQ tacos and buttermilk fried chicken wings!

Publico
It’s a hidden garden vibe at Publico’s vine-covered atrium complete with retractable roof. The menu offers globally inspired food featuring items like empanadas, tacos, and pizzettas, small sharable plates of steamed mussels, ceviche, and larger plates like steak frites, bolognese and mahi mahi.

Barlow’s
Barlow’s on A Street has a spacious outdoor patio and features a classic tavern menu, live music and great beer, wine and cocktails.

Lawn on D
It’s like a playground for adults complete with light up swings! Lawn on D features great food, drinks, and lawn games! Check out their schedule for special events!

Worden Hall
Enjoy the great outdoors at Worden Hall’s outdoor patio.  Feast on modern American cuisine and enjoy over 40 drafts on tap and 100 Whiskeys!

Amrheins
Southie’s oldest restaurant also has an outdoor patio! Share some small plates like the crispy calamari or the buffalo chicken dip. One of the expert bartenders at Amreheins can mix you up a specialty cocktail to quench your thirst.
